Achievement

Sydney''s recently completed $1.9 billion reverse osmoses desalination plant is capable of providing up to 15% of Sydney''s drinking water requirement. This new plant powered by renewable energy has increased Sydney water security of supply and will play an invaluable role in times of extended low rainfall levels.

Summary

MMA Civil Contractors were contracted to lay approximately 3km of GRP Pipe ranging in size from 300mm to 2200mm at depths of up to 7m within trenches that had up to 6 pipes. MMA Civil Contractors also provided the backfilling, final trim, labour supply and plant hire for night works and tunnel crews.
