Achievement

To serve as a substation to the local community and allow further growth of local business and allow upgrade to local electric supply as part of the energy Australia upgrade of the NSW electrical grid.

Summary

MMA Civil Contractors provided the electrical works on the Balgowlah North Zone Substation in accordance with Energy Australia Standards & Codes of Practice. The works included the provision of all labour, materials, plant & equipment, consumables, supervision, quality assurance for the engineering, supply, delivery, installation & testing of buried uPVC conduits. This included communication, low voltage and high voltage conduits up to 200mm in diameter to the Balgowlah North Zone Substation. The works also included the laying of electrical conduits for 11kV, 33kV and 132kV cables. In addition, as part of this project MMA Civil Contractors provided the drainage, stormwater pipework, watermains, and road works while working in confined spaces around existing structures. These works and the electrical conduits totalled approximately 8km of pipework.
